It is with great sadness to announce that as of June 4th 2016 The Annex has closed its doors for regular business. Established in September 2012, it became more than just an extension of McGonigal's Pub as it took on its own fun identity in the Barrington area. As the saying goes, "when a door closes a window opens"... but in this case it's two windows! >>> The Pub has a fantastic second level that has mostly been used for private events, but we will now be using it full-time for all patrons. Called "The Loft", we will be featuring family style dining, theme nights, great new entertainment and much more! If you liked The Annex you'll love the true Pub feel of The Loft! >>>We are excited to report a pending business partnership with Epic Repertory Theatre Group, who plan on reconfiguring the Annex space into a small entertainment venue for comedy nights, cabaret and other performances! Look for more information on this later in 2016. However, we're starting with them pretty much right away as there are already some entertainment dates scheduled in The Loft for this summer. Note that for the short term we'll continue to use The Annex for some private functions, and we encourage all Annex patrons to utilize The Loft and of course The Pub! |

With the expansion of McGonigal's Pub to our neighboring building in September 2012, The Annex has become Barrington’s great new social destination and provides a slightly more serene but truly complimentary setting to the popular Pub atmosphere. Specialties include amazing mixed drinks, a wide selection of upscale wines, craft beers, and includes the great menu of food that you've grown to expect from McGonigal's Pub. Additional entertainment options are available, and we also are available for private party rentals. If you'd like to buy some beer, wine or liquor to go, we can do that for you too! Both establishments are connected and under the same ownership; we truly offer “something for everyone” and are confident that you will enjoy the ambiance and service provided. |
