Our 6th Annual St. Patrick's Day celebration - also for the past four years known as the Barrington Celtic Fest - will take place on Friday March 13th through Tuesday March 17th at McGonigal's Pub & The Annex, 105 S. Cook Street, right in the heart of downtown Barrington.  The agenda over the five days includes live music every day, Irish goods sold by our friends from The Irish Botique/Paddy's on the Square, various entertainment including Irish dancers, bagpipers, special guest appearances, promotional giveaways and of course plentiful availability of food and beverages.  Plus, admission is FREE all weekend & through St. Patrick's Day!

This is truly one huge party, but it's also one of the busiest weekends of the year for us (as it is with all other Irish pubs), so we need to make the proper adjustments in order to provide the best possible service.  To accommodate the crowds, on Friday 3/13 (after 4 PM), Saturday 3/14 (all day) and Tuesday 3/17 (all day), the Pub will be offering a limited food menu. This will be significantly smaller than our usual daily offerings but much more expanded than what we were able to do in previous years.  Most of the usual Irisah favorites will be offered, and there will be several kid-friendly choices too.  The other three days our full menu will be available, but note that through most of the weekend we will likely be using paper and plastic for food service and bar drinks.  There will be NO special seating or reservations of any type taken for the duration of the Celtic Fest.  Seating specifically for dining will be available in our Pub 2nd level and in The Annex on a first come, first served basis.  We apologize for any inconveniences.  Additionally, NO COUPONS, regular daily food & drink specials and/or special promotional discounts will be honored March 13-17.

Our celebration is focused on food, drink and fun, and families are welcome and encouraged to attend during the daytime hours - especially on Sunday when the "family day" is in effect!  Regular Pub rules of 21+ of age required after 9:00 PM are in effect every day. However, please use your best discretion with younger children at all other times... it's still a busy weekend and St. Patrick's Day at an Irish Pub, which inevitably becomes more of an adult holiday as the evening hours arrive.

One last note - with St. Patrick's Day on a Tuesday this year, logistically we felt it necessary to forgo the large festival tent we've had in the past… but weather pending on Saturday March 14th we we will have an expanded open outdoor area for patrons, right outside the Pub.  Regardless - rain or shine - our five-day celebration will be THE place to be in the region!
